OK. How much is really new here? Who cares?! Die hard SimCity fans will buy this new edition no matter what. And being one of them, I can't bring myself to discourage that choice (undoubtedly due to the subliminal messages played within the wonderfully tranquil background music). Unlimited does add some nice touches to SimCity 3000. The biggest is the opportunity to create cities with varying architectural styles. In addition to the North American look, you can now create cities with an Asian or European style. You can also change the topography. Instead of being stuck with the "plains" style of SC3000, you can now create maps with desert, prairie, tropical or arctic landscape. You can even change the type of trees that make up the landscape in your city. Nice touches indeed.
For those mayors who are more into mischief or just like solving challenges, Unlimited brings four new disasters to the plate including swarms of locusts (for all you Biblical fans out there), whirlpools, space debris and toxic clouds. Unlimited all comes complete with 13 new scenarios designed to give even the best mayors a run for their money - er, simoleans. SimCity 3000 Unlimited is the same great fun you expect from a Maxis Sim title. If you've never played, I HIGHLY recommend you pick it up. If you have SimCity 3000, you don't really need this but you probably can't resist the urge anyway!
